On Wednesday, May 1, the School of Music at Colorado Christian University invites the community to our final concert of the season at the CCU Music Center!
The CCU Handbell Ensemble and Chamber Strings will be collaborating on four movements of Matthew Prins’ London Underground, a multi-movement work for handbells, strings and piano originally composed in honor of the 2012 Olympics held in London. Each movement in the work is descriptive a particular metro stop in the now 150-year-old London Underground subway system. Composer Prins is the handbell director at First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and a prolific composer of innovative and interesting handbell music.
