Modeled after the National Prayer Breakfast held annually in Washington, D.C., the Fifth Annual Jefferson County Prayer Breakfast will take place on Friday, October 5, from 7:00-8:35 a.m. at the Denver West Marriott in Golden, Colorado. This year's speaker will be Mark Johnson, Sports Director for Newsradio 850 KOA, one of the nation's finest sports radio departments. Additionally Johnson serves as the "Voice of the Buffs," handling play-by-play duties for all University of Colorado football and basketball broadcasts. He also is heavily involved in numerous charity and community organizations, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Community leaders from around Jefferson County will lead segments of prayer throughout the morning for our elected officials, our military, churches and para-church organizations in our area, and for the specific needs of our county.
