Professional Accomplishments:

  • Faculty advisor for the independent study project of a Boettcher Scholar student who will be documenting economic conditions in the Brazilian Rain Forest during a mission trip.
  • Faculty advisor for the independent study project of a CCU student to create the charter and organization structure for "The Calling"; a new ministry and nonprofit organization that helps plan and organize Christian events as well as missionary efforts for Christian organizations.
  • Coordinated the participation of 19 CCU students and three faculty members in the Foundation for Economic Education's 2010 Summer College Seminars. During the one-week seminars, CCU students along with students from around the country will hear lectures by some of the greatest minds and most prolific authors in economics.
  • Formal Presentations and Conference Participation:
  • Presented "The Moral Foundations of Capitalism" at CCU's Strategic Objectives Workshop in December 2009 and at the Centennial Institute's Issues Friday in July and October 2009

  • "Online Winter Camp," University of Colorado at Denver online program for course preparation
  • Nominated for CCU Faculty Member of the Year, 2009-2010
Publications and Scholarly Achievements:
  • Authored "The Healthcare Flop" for VERITAS, Colorado Christian University's school newspaper
  • Worked with Person Custom Publishing to create "Economics for All Majors: CCU Economics 215", a customized book for a single-semester course that encompasses economics principles from several authors, allows for a Christian worldview - and is delivered to students at a third of the price of the new full book
