I chose to attend CCU because I knew if I attended a state school, it would be very easy to fall away from the faith due to lack of accountability. I wanted a University where I could be a part of something bigger and could be in fellowship with other Christians regularly. I love the Academic life at CCU! Our University is filled with excellent Professors that strive to make a personal connection with all the students. They seek to produce students that are both academically and spiritually sound.

I am currently involved in the homeless outreach ministry here at CCU: Sojourners. We head into downtown Denver to feed and build relationships with the homeless. I also have been a part of SNAPPERS for two years, a ministry that reaches out to the elderly in the Lakewood community. I am also an active member in CCU's Pre-Health Club, which allows professionals within the medical filed to come share their experiences with pre-med students.CCU has allowed me to blossom as a Christian greatly.

I have been challenged by my peers and mentors at CCU. I have seen growth regarding gratitude for my salvation. It is so easy to take what Christ did for granted and forget the beauty and sacrifice that is intertwined into our salvation. CCU has reminded me of the great price Christ paid.My favorite place in Colorado is the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. What an inspirational place! It is so inspiring to go there and see the athletes train with such strength and determination. It is a great lesson to take back to school with you.My favorite class at CCU has been my microbiology class. In one of my favorite assignments, we were given unknown bacteria and asked to identify them using different biochemical tests. It was quite an experience that I shall not soon forget.
