I was looking for a Christian college, but finding CCU was definitely a "God-thing," because I had no idea what I wanted in a college. When I visited CCU, the first thing that sparked my interest was the apartment-style living and stairwell names. However, as I consider it a little bit more, I think the main aspect I loved was the community and the way the students interacted. It wasn't just a few friends hanging out, rather, it was people really experiencing life together and learning about God through the process.
I really enjoy all the people at CCU; whether its the students, faculty, staff, or coaches. The friendships that I have been blessed with here will last me for a lifetime. It's been quite the adventure: from crazy college stories to the moments when life hasn't been going so great--through all my experiences I continue to rely on the friendships that I have built.
Quiet time and worship have been the areas in my relationship with God that I have been learning and growing through. I've also been really challenged by the people in my life that I've met at CCU -- through Bible studies with some of my closest friends and through accountability. I also had the opportunity to go on a CCU2theWorld Mission trip to Jamaica where God taught me a lot and really humbled me.Oh man, there's so many places I can think of! But if I want to get away, the little mountain towns in Colorado are perfect. One of my favorite memories was exploring a cave in Golden, Colorado -- a huge adrenaline rush!
