Favorite Verse: "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ – the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith." Philippians 2:7-9
Hobbies: Anything and everything having to do with sports. I coach tennis, play on softball, flag football, and basketball teams, and enjoy watching the big game with a good group of friends. My favorite summer activity is to go downtown and watch the Colorado Rockies play baseball. I also love to travel and see new places, especially anywhere that has a beach. Most of all, I just love enjoying all that Denver has to offer with my friends and family.
I came to CCU because: I chose to attend CCU for my undergraduate degree several years ago because of the appeal of being surrounded by a Christian community. I felt like the environment here at CCU was what I wanted for my college experience. After I graduated, I chose to stay at CCU and coach the tennis team, which gave me the opportunity to give back to the students at this school. I have now moved over to the admissions department, and enjoy helping students find the same experience I had as a student.
My favorite experience as a student: During my sophomore and junior years I was a member of the CCU2theWorld missions team that went to Costa Rica. Our team had the opportunity to work at a Christian camp, and while there, we helped the staff at the camp put on retreats for various school groups in Costa Rica. We not only got to serve the staff at the camp, but we also got to build relationships with the children and do our best to show them God’s love. Through that, I learned so much about who God is, and the joy that comes from serving Him. It was an experience I will never forget, and it has forever changed who I am.
