Future Freshmen

College of Undergraduate Studies

CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies is looking for students who demonstrate a strong academic career and exemplify a vital Christian pursuit, personal integrity, and a desire for Christ-centered community. CCU's general requirements state that first-time freshmen (students who have taken less than 15 college credits after graduating from high school) are expected to have at least a 2.8 GPA and a 20 ACT composite score or 1380 SAT score. Students who do not meet these criteria are still considered for admission on a case-by-case basis, and factors such as essay content, recommendation content, and extracurricular activity all contribute to an individual admission decision.

We encourage you to apply for admission and visit our campus so you can see the CCU experience for yourself. We think it’s important to get to know you during the admission process so we can help you determine if CCU is the best school for you. We pair you with an individual admissions counselor who finds out what you need and value so you know before you enroll if CCU is a good fit for you.

Admission Steps

  1. Complete your application for admission and submit the non-refundable application fee. You can start the process by applying online now.
  2. Request official transcripts from your high school and/or any colleges you have attended. You may use the Institutional Transcript Request Form (PDF) for this purpose. If you are currently enrolled, please request a final transcript be mailed upon graduation or completion of coursework.
  3. Submit your official ACT and/or SAT test scores. CCU's ACT code is 0523 and our SAT code is 4659. Applicants who have completed fewer than 30 semester hours of college coursework must submit official ACT or SAT scores. The ACT Web site provides extensive information and services for the ACT Assessment, including online registration, test preparation, and a score report ordering system.
  4. Request that a  Spiritual Recommendation form (PDF) be completed by a pastor, youth pastor, or youth worker. CCU does not accept recommendations from family members.

CCU will make an admission decision when all application materials are received, and we'll contact you within two weeks of your application submission to let you know our response.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

It is important to apply for financial aid early by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. You should also start searching for outside scholarships as early as possible.
