Military Students

College of Undergraduate Studies

Colorado Christian University is committed to making a Christ-centered education available to veterans, dependents of active duty military and veterans, and to future leaders in the military.

CCU is a Yellow Ribbon institution and is approved for Veterans Affairs Educational Benefits provided by the Montgomery GI Bill, the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and Vocational Rehabilitation. All associate and bachelor degree programs in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies (traditional, residential-based programs) are approved for payment of GI Bill education benefits. In most cases, the benefits provided by the Post 9/11 GI Bill cover the full cost of tuition and fees, provided you are receiving 100% of the benefit.

In addition, traditional undergraduate students taking classes on campus are eligible to participate in Army and Air Force ROTC programs and receive scholarships.
If you are interested in using your VA-GI Bill benefits, or the benefits of a parent or guardian in CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies, please contact our undergraduate enrollment counselor for military students.

Admission Steps

  1. Complete your application for admission and submit the non-refundable application fee. You can start the process by applying online now.
  2. Request official transcripts from your high school and/or any colleges you have attended. You may use the  Institutional Transcript Request Form (PDF) for this purpose. If you are currently enrolled, please request that a final transcript be mailed upon graduation or completion of coursework.
  3. Submit your official ACT and/or SAT test scores. CCU's ACT code is 0523 and our SAT code is 4659. Applicants who have completed fewer than 30 semester hours of college coursework must submit official ACT or SAT scores. 4. Request that a Spiritual Recommendation form (PDF) be completed by a pastor, youth pastor, or youth worker who knows you well enough to testify to your relationship with Christ. CCU does not accept recommendations from family members.
  5. If you are using the Post 9/11 GI Bill, please visit  http://www.gibill.va.gov/ to apply for your benefits. If you are transferring your benefits to a dependent, please consult the instructions from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  6. E-mail your certificate of eligibility (COE) to vasupport@ccu.edu

For frequently asked Post 9/11 GI Bill questions, consult the Department of Veterans Affairs web site.
