    Transfer Students: Applying to CCU

    College of Undergraduate Studies

    CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies is looking for students who demonstrate a strong academic career and exemplify a vital Christian pursuit, personal integrity, and a desire for Christ-centered community. The priority application deadline for financial aid and scholarship consideration is April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. However, CCU will continue to accept applications after these deadlines until our enrollment capacity is reached.

    Admission Requirements

    Generally, for transfer students (students who have taken 15 or more college credits after graduating from high school) the minimum requirements for admission are:

    • 2.8 college GPA;
    • A strong spiritual recommendation; and
    • Application essay responses

    Students who do not meet these minimum requirements are encouraged to apply and the University will consider their application under a committee review process which may include a personal interview. Factors such as essay content, recommendation content, and extracurricular activity all contribute to an individual admission decision.

    Steps to Apply

    1. Complete your Application for Admission, including essays
    2. Application processing fee
    3. Submit your Spiritual Recommendation from a Pastor, Youth Pastor, Youth Worker, or Spiritual Mentor. The form may be submitted online by the recommender at www.ccu.edu/spiritualrecommendation/. (You may e-mail this link to your recommender and request that they complete the form online. 6. It is important to apply for financial aid early by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. Transferring Credit to CCU

    Your transcripts will be evaluated by the Service Central office as soon as your application is processed and you have been fully accepted. Each transfer student receives an individual credit evaluation. For credits to be accepted, a course must be assigned a grade of C- or better. The course must be transferred from an institution that is accredited either by a regional accrediting association or by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association. The course must also be a relevant or equivalent course required for the student's program of study. Please talk with your enrollment counselor about the estimated number of credits which will transfer to CCU.

    Someone very wise once told me, “Go with God and serve him well." These words have become the motto of my life. I am from a small town in Georgia, where my parents told me that college was the one time I could move away. Initially I chose CCU for sacrificial reasons like to get away, to play soccer, and to snowboard, but God had another reason. God brought me to CCU to reveal himself to me.
