Becoming an Eligible Student Athlete
Steps for high school students to ensure eligibility for NCAA competition at Colorado Christian University
Meet with your high school counselor:
- Tell him/her that you are interested in participating in athletics at the Division II level. You and your counselor should go over your transcript to ensure you are meeting all necessary NCAA requirements.
- Register with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Center. You can do this online at https://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/common/. You must be certified by the Eligibility Center to be eligible to compete. This is not optional.
- Ask your counselor to submit the following information directly to the Eligibility Center:
- Official high school transcript with SAT/ ACT test scores listed.
- List of academic courses.
- After graduation your counselor will need to send a final transcript with proof of graduation.
- To expedite the process, or if you have not yet taken the ACT/SAT, you can send your scores directly to the Eligibility Center. You can do this by marking 9999 as one of your college and scholarship codes on the registration folder or when requesting additional score reports.
