Snowmobiling
Salida, Colorado
The Best Of Colorado snowmobile trip was definitely worth it. We left Saturday, January 29 in the morning and were able to get back that same day. The drive through the mountains to the town of Salida was beautiful. I am from upstate New York and snowmobiling is one of my favorite hobbies, but I was unsure of what to expect on this trip. Thirteen of us went and, regardless of experience level, I think everyone had a great time. We rode on beautiful trails near Monarch Mountain. The trip was not led by a professional guide, so we had a lot of freedom to explore; it was a lot of fun! We also got the unique opportunity to ride in the back country where there was a small bowl, which was a new experience for most of us! Overall the trip was an awesome time, I got to know some great people through team work in the snow and lunch afterward. We also were blessed with having Megan Cullen as the student leader who took care of all the details and the Hartwig’s as our staff leaders. Everything went very smooth and I think the whole group had a great time!
