When you are pursuing a degree at Colorado Christian University, the workload can often be heavy. You’re balancing school with your family responsibilities and job. But, earning a college degree doesn’t have to be all work and no fun. The upcoming Faith and Family night with the Colorado Rapids gives you a chance to relax and spend time fellowshipping with your friends and family while watching an exciting game.
During Faith and Family night, you’ll watch the Major League Soccer team the Colorado Rapids as they play against the New England Revolution. The event gives you the opportunity to cheer your team towards victory while mingling with fellow students and alumni and their families.
The Colorado Rapids have been Colorado’s major league soccer team since 1996. In 2010, the team took home the MLS cup for the first time.
A concert from The City Harmonic will take place on the field immediately following the game. A Christian rock band from Canada, the City Harmonic has been compared to bands such as Coldplay and Keane. Their first full-length album, “I Have a Dream (It Feels like Home)” was released at the end of 2012. The album took home the JUNO award, the Canadian version of the Grammy Awards, for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. The band has also won three Covenant Awards from the Gospel Music Association of Canada and was nominated for a Dove Award.
The game kicks off at 7 pm on July 17 at Dicks’ Sporting Goods Park, in Commerce City, Colorado. Tickets to both the game and concert are just $25 per person. Every ticket includes a $5 voucher that can be used to purchase a snack or souvenir from the stadium concourse. Whether you are already a student at Colorado Christian University or in the process of applying, enjoy a night spent with good friends and family at Faith and Family night with the Colorado Rapids.
