This year, if your family is looking ways to celebrate Halloween minus all the blood and gore, CCU’s Harvest Carnival is the perfect alternative to Halloween events. We will have a wide range of family-friendly activities so you can celebrate the season safely.
CCU’s Harvest Carnival is Saturday October 26th from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the CCU main campus in Lakewood. Bring the whole family in costume to participate in a wide range of games and activities. The kids are welcome to play free carnival games to win prizes and candy, and the whole family can enjoy the festivities. We will be having a costume contest and parade at 1:30 p.m., so don’t hold back in donning creative costumes. Your family can even choose a common theme, like characters from a favorite book or movie, and all wear costumes centered around it.
This is the 17th annual CCU Harvest Carnival that families in and around Denver have been enjoying celebrating with us for years. Our family-friendly activities are perfect if your family wants to celebrate the fall and harvest season without emphasizing the dark side of Halloween. Plus, it’s easy to invite friends and neighbors to a free event so they can safely enjoy the season as well!
Admission to the Harvest Carnival is free. We will also be collecting donations of canned food and nonperishable food items, so it is encouraged to bring an item or two. These will be given to our neighbors who live on the Northern Arapahoe Indian Reservation in Wyoming. If you bring donations, drop them into the bins located near the entrance to the Harvest Carnival. To find the entrance, turn into CCU from Garrison Street and keep an eye out for signs leading you to parking and the carnival. We hope to see your whole family on October 26th!
