Master’s in Counseling Curriculum

All of the counseling courses at CCU Grand Junction are taught within an overarching Christian framework. Through a wide range of classes including everything from family studies to psychopharmacology, students learn to bring spiritual healing first to themselves and then to others. Also included in the program curriculum is a practicum and optional internship, through which students can apply the knowledge they’ve gained in the classroom to real-world situations.

In addition to a required core of Biblical studies and counseling courses, students can choose to tailor their focus through the addition of several electives. Possible areas of focus could include addiction, eating disorders, sexuality and empathy, among others.
