What Will I Do?

Participants will hear from guest speakers and attend small group breakout sessions that address various aspects of this year’s topic, “Powerful Prayer.” Everyone is welcome to attend the CCU Education Symposium, but this year’s topic will be especially geared toward prayerfully discussing issues facing Christian educators today. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, home school educator, church leader, or a student interested in the future of education, you’ll learn something new from the variety of speakers and session leaders so register now — it’s free!

Who Are the Keynote Speakers?

Our two keynote speakers, Chantal McGee and Brig Leane, will address educational and ministry challenges facing home educators and public school, respectively. Each breakout session will feature a different dialogue topic, including, “Using Christian Principles to Lead Your Team,” and “Starting a ‘Moms in Prayer International’ Group. “ See the full list of session topics on our events page!

Is the Spring Symposium Right for Me?

This time of fellowship and learning will encourage your personal involvement in today’s educational system by meeting other Christian educators and sharing your stories. If you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, the CCU Education Symposium can help prepare you for a future career in Early Childhood EducationElementary EducationSpecial Education, and even related fields like PsychologyOrganizational Leadership, or Communications.

You’ll learn to approach challenges with a faith-based perspective and use prayer to plan, make decisions, and motivate yourself and others to learn and grow in today’s academic world. Whether for classroom management, teaching healthy goals and expectations, or influencing a team of professional educators, prayer is a vital tool for Christians who teach one child right at home or dozens of adult learners via an internet class.
