Calling All Overwhelmed College Students!

Like you, many college students get overwhelmed, at times. Whether its that your car won’t start, late to class, financial aide didn’t come through, your spouse and you are not getting along or even your kids are causing you stress, you are not alone! Every person ┬áin life encounters feelings of being overwhelmed. Below are some helpful ways to overcome the feelings of being overwhelming:

  • Take a bath
  • Read a book
  • Phone a friend
  • Meditate
  • Look at pictures
  • Recall your favorite memories
  • Eat a snack
  • Pamper yourself
  • Take the kids to the park
  • Do something nice for someone else
  • Get a message
  • Meet a friend for coffee
  • Order in food
  • Go shopping
  • Run or jog
  • Exercise
  • Cry
  • Listen to music
  • Play with your pet
  • Puzzle

If you are constantly experiencing the feeling of being overwhelmed, check with your school to see if they offer counseling. Being constantly overwhelmed can lead to serious mental health issues like anxiety, depression and/or panic attacks. It is up to you to take care of you; Noone takes better care of you, then you.
