4-4: Degree Update Program/Second Bachelor's Degree

Alumni of Western Bible College, Rockmont College, Colorado Christian College, Colorado Baptist University, or Colorado Christian University who have graduated with a bachelor's degree may take courses, complete a second major, or complete a second Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree at CCU through the degree update program. To update a degree and complete a second BA or BS, students must complete a minimum of 24 semester hours of credit, 15 of which may be earned through college-equivalent life experience and professional training. Candidates for the major attached to the degree must, however, complete all of the credit hours required for that major. The Degree Update Program is not applicable to graduate studies or other selected programs. Students in teacher education programs must complete their academic major and all requirements for their teacher preparation program, including student teaching, and graduate with the bachelor's degree in order to qualify for the degree update program for a second major or degree.

Second degree candidates that are not alumni as listed above must complete all requirements for the major as well as any prescribed deficiencies in the CCU General Education requirements. Students wishing to be admitted for completion of a second degree should contact the department offering the major for additional information and specific qualifications.
