In the Management of Information Systems degree, key aspects of computer technology are combined with business and management principles. The student gains knowledge and skills in areas such as programming, database management, project management and internet development. The integration of relevant information technology with essential business practices prepares the MIS student for the demands of today's workplace.
In addition to courses required for the major all students must complete a selection of General Education courses. For a list of General Education course requirements please see the course list for the Associate of Arts degree.
Major coursework for the degree can be completed over four semesters. Classes are taught in seminar format. Selected degree coursework is enhanced with online Internet instruction that provides greater flexibility in completing assignments outside the classroom.
