Building on the classically structured curriculum of the business, communication, and applied ministry programs, CCU faculty members offer students whenever appropriate, the following distinctive characteristics in the baccalaureate experience:
Training in Scriptural Truth
The goal of the School of Business and Leadership is to integrate
scripture and the Christian faith within the disciplines throughout the curriculum.
Systems Thinking and Problem Solving Training
The integration of concepts and a systems thinking approach to the professions,
including critical problem solving and decision making skills, are designed to
prepare School of Business and Leadership students for the
challenges of profit and non-profit sectors.
Training with Practical Relevance
The School of Business and Leadership seeks to inject material
and teaching into its
curriculum that are both practical and relevant to today’s profit
and non-profit communities.
Training in the Latest and Most Relevant Technology
The School of Business and Leadership utilizes cutting edge
technology tools so that all students have access to the technological training
that is in demand in the workplace of today and tomorrow.
The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Art degrees offered through the School of Business and Leadership combine professional training, general education, and biblical studies. Graduates are prepared to seek employment in private business and industry and to serve in nonprofit institutions. For each particular discipline, the School of Business and Leadership offers a curriculum designed to provide students with practical knowledge, specific information systems and technology skills, training to seek future employment, and the background necessary for graduate studies.
Appropriate progress requires students to achieve a 2.5 cumulative GPA for all School of Business and Leadership core and major courses. In addition, students must demonstrate patterns of behavior appropriate for an individual preparing for a position of trust and responsibility. Students failing to maintain these standards may be dismissed from the program.
The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees offered through the School of Business and Leadership require a minimum of 128 semester hours as prescribed in the areas of general education and biblical studies and the requirements as defined by the major. In addition, all students must meet the CCU residency requirement.
