The liberal arts major is an interdisciplinary program of study designed to provide a broad exploration of the ideas, values, issues, and heritage of civilization. Students develop a broad understanding of the arts and sciences, their interrelationships, and their integration with Christian thought. The liberal arts major for teachers is for students working toward Elementary Education licensure. Non-education liberal arts majors may take a general program or declare a specialization in literature or philosophy.
The Bachelor of Arts degree with a general studies emphasis requires the completion of the general education courses including HUM/MUS 110 Musical Perspectives and the biblical studies specialization, general electives, 24 hours of the Liberal Arts Core, and a 15 hour specialization in General Studies, Literature, or Philosophy.
