Those graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music will be prepared to function in a wide variety of roles and to begin graduate studies. Elective specializations are available in Sound Recording Technology and Performance. The Bachelor of Arts in Music requires 128 semester hours, which include 47 hours of general education courses, 21 hours of free electives, a biblical studies emphasis of 12 hours, and the following 48 hours specified for the major. The Bachelor of Music - Music Ministry requires 128 semester hours, including a biblical studies emphasis of 12 hours, 36 hours of music ministry core courses, 75 hours of general and music courses, and 5 hours of general electives specified below. Students must take MUA 130 Piano Class (1) in consecutive semesters until MUA 230 Piano Proficiency (0) is passed.
