Information and Access
To gain access to WebAdvisor and other CCU resources, you will need to sign up for a Digital Services Account. Start the process by accessing the “my computer account” tutorial. You can then fill out the application for a computer account. Once you have signed up, you will be able to access materials with personal information for you and your studies at Colorado Christian University.
Format of Courses
The majority of classroom-based courses meet for four hours per week over a five-week period. For accreditation requirements, each course must have 40 hours of contact time. Twenty of these hours are in the classroom and twenty are completed in the online component, eCompanion. Weeknight classes meet from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Classes that meet on Saturday mornings will meet from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
Classes offered in an online format typically run seven weeks in duration and all 40 hours of contact time are completed in the online environment.
Syllabi
Syllabi for all of your courses will be available online. You can download them from CCU's syllabi page. Remember that some syllabi may still be under development until a week before the course begins. To learn more about accessing your syllabi online, complete this tutorial.
Books
Your course syllabus includes information about the specific books you will need for that course. You can follow this brief tutorial to learn how to access your course syllabi. The syllabus will list the exact name, author, edition, and ISBN number for your textbook(s).
There are several ways to order your books. You can order them online at the CCU University Bookstore. You can also visit the CCU Bookstore on the Lakewood campus or order by calling the store at 303-963-3289. The Internet has many other bookstore Web sites where you can purchase or sell textbooks. However, if you choose to buy from a different bookstore please make sure you are purchasing the correct edition.
Student Identification
While a student identification card is not required, it is recommended. You may request a student ID card online by submitting a digital photo and scanned copy of your driver's license.
