One of the most valuable resources for CCU students is CCU’s intranet site. This site offers a variety of services for current students including eCompanion/eCourse and many other important resources. Get familiar with the intranet site by accessing the tutorial.
To view information on current or upcoming courses, visit the online course schedule. The course schedule shows you what courses CCU is offering, the professor teaching the course, and when and where they will take place. View the course schedule tutorial for a brief overview of how it works.
WebAdvisor is a powerful online tool that can now be used to register for classes, drop classes, and view your grades and class schedule. In the future, you will be able to use it for accessing your financial account information and unofficial transcript. See Using WebAdvisor - Students (PDF) for instructions on using this tool.
CCU uses a resource called eCollege to technologically enhance your educational experience. Almost every classroom-based course supplements class work with an online component called eCompanion. Class discussion, assignments, and exams can all be completed in eCompanion.
To meet our accreditation requirements, each course must have 40 hours of class time. This means twenty hours are completed in the classroom and twenty hours are completed in eCompanion.
eCollege is also the tool used for CCU's online courses. The format is the same, but the duration of the course will be different (seven weeks versus five weeks) and there is more content in the eCourse class in order to give students 40 hours of contact time in the online environment. Learn more by going through the eCompanion tutorial.
All of the courses taken at CCU will require papers to be written. The College of Adult and Graduate Studies follows specific APA guidelines for all papers. Be sure to take time to review these guidelines before writing any papers.
Service Central assists students with questions regarding student accounts, financial aid, registration, transcripts, VA benefits, and commencement support. The Service Central site contains important information and useful forms. Service Central can be reached by e-mail at FinancialAidSupport@ccu.edu, or by calling 303-963-3230 and 800-44-FAITH, ext 3230.
As you explore CCU’s online resources, remember to keep a few important Web sites in mind. You will use these Web sites often and it is recommended that you either bookmark them or add them to your “Favorites” list.
