Special Services for CCU Students

Career Services

Colorado Christian University has established a trustworthy reputation in the marketplace for the quality of its students as prospective employees. As a result, many businesses and individuals post employment opportunities for CCU students and alumni on our Job Connection Web site.

Computer Labs

Students who attend class at the Lakewood campus have access to a computer lab that is open twenty-four hours a day, every day. If you take classes at one of CCU's other College of Adult and Graduate Studies locations, please contact the Center directly for information about their computer lab.

Dining Commons

The Dining Commons on the Lakewood campus is available to all students. You can buy meals on a cash basis, or buy a meal card at a discounted rate. We know many students come to class straight from work, or have responsibilities that keep them from eating before evening classses. Please feel free to bring dinner to your class.

Accelerated Degree Options

One of our goals is to help you to complete your degree as soon as possible. One way to help you accomplish this is through the use of CLEP and DANTES testing. These exams enable you to test out of a class for a fraction of the price. CLEP and DANTES tests are facilitated by CCU's Life Directions Center at the Lakewood campus and are also administered at each of our College of Adult and Graduate Studies locations.

Another option to help adult students earn credit on an accelerated basis is Prior Learning Credit (PLC). Through PLC, you can write papers based on your life experience and earn college-level credit for what you learned. In order to submit a writing portfolio for evaluation, you will need to take the Prior Learning Credit course (PLC 400) for 3 hours of elective credit. This course is designed to help you identify possible areas to earn Prior Learning Credit and to understand the criteria for submitting your portfolio. You can then earn up to 31 additional credits through the portfolio process.

Chapel

Students in CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies are not required to go to chapel, but area always welcome to attend. Chapel is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:45 to 11:30 on the Lakewood campus. See the Chapel Schedule for a list of upcoming speakers. If you cannot attend, but are still interested in participating you can listen to the messages online.
