Alpha Sigma Lambda
Colorado Christian University is a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, the largest and oldest chapter-based honor society for adult students. CCU’s chapter, Sigma Nu, was created in 1998 and re-established in 2002. Through this organization, CCU desires to recognize and honor non-traditional adult students for their academic excellence and superior leadership in higher education.
Student Requirements for Alpha Sigma Lambda:
- The student must have a minimum of 24 completed credits from CCU. (These credits cannot include transfer, CLEP, DANTES, or PLC credits.)
- The student must have at least 12 credits in liberal arts/sciences. (These can be transfer credits.)
- The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75.
- The student must be in the top 10 percent of the annual class with at least 24 credits completed at CCU. (This 10 percent is selected from the annual class that includes students from all of CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies locations. Typically this criteria makes the minimum grade point average higher than 3.75.)
