Transfer guides are specifically designed for the adult degree programs at Colorado Christian University. The contents of these guides apply only to undergraduate degrees offered through the College of Adult and Graduate Studies.
The CCU admission process is selective. We seek students who have the potential to succeed academically and who are motivated to grow personally and professionally. Students transferring to CCU must meet current admission requirements at the time of their application for admission.
Admission to some undergraduate programs is competitive. While all students who have achieved a 2.0 GPA will be fully considered, CCU may offer admission to students based on their relative ranking of the college cumulative GPA. Courses in progress will not be used for calculating the GPA.
The letter grades on courses from the transferring institution that are accepted for transfer into a baccalaureate program will be treated in accordance with CCU’s grade policies.
Only academic courses with a letter grade of “C” (or its equivalent) or better will be accepted for transfer; courses with grades of “D,” “F,” “IP,” “I," “U,” “AU,” “Z,” are not transferable.
The letter grades on courses from institutions which are accepted for transfer by CCU are not placed on Colorado Christian University’s transcript and do not contribute to the student’s GPA at CCU. Courses with grades of “D”, “F”, “T”, In Progress, Audit, or No-Credit will not be accepted for transfer to CCU.
Students seeking admission to CCU’s Licensing Program for Educators or Early Childhood Education programs must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA for all college work attempted. All coursework submitted for evaluation must be presented in an official transcript.
Life learning or portfolio credit is considered by CCU as transfer credit and may be used as elective or general education (per policy) credit. There is a limit of 31 semester hours of life learning credit which may be applied to a baccalaureate degree.
To earn a Colorado Christian University undergraduate degree, the following semester hours must be earned through CCU:
Specific courses for the majors are listed in the current CCU Academic Catalog.
The CCU Academic Catalog provides students with the best information available concerning CCU and its programs at the time the Catalog was published. Since the University continually modifies and improves the curriculum to meet the needs of students, the Catalog does not constitute a contract, but serves as a guide. A student who enrolls in the University will be allowed to graduate under the policies in the Catalog published at the time of initial enrollment, as long as the student has maintained continuous enrollment. A student who has not been enrolled for 12 months must apply for readmission and complete a degree program under the regulations published in the Catalog that is in effect at the time of re-enrollment.
Departmental evaluation of transfer credit (not otherwise covered by this agreement) used to satisfy CCU graduation requirements are carried out on a course-by-course basis by the enrollment counselor with oversight by the dean of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Enrollment counselors may require a course syllabus and text for proper evaluation.
