A degree plan is a declaration of the student’s degree goal documenting what the student has accomplished through prior college study and now must complete to earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree from CCU. It is a working document to guide the student in the selection of general education, major, and elective courses. You do not have to be a current student to benefit from information on a degree plan. CCU often uses degree plans to help prospective students see exactly what classes they will be required to take as well as approximately how long it will take them to complete their program. Student service advisors are available to work with prospective students to create a customized degree plan while they are in the decision-making process.
CCU provides every student in the College of Adult and Graduate with an official degree plan reflecting transferred credit applied to appropriate categories. The degree plan is an invaluable tool for students to use throughout their time at CCU. It will help you schedule your classes each semester and can assist in tracking your progress. Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all requirements of the degree are met. Using your degree plan throughout your studies will help ensure that you are on track to meet graduation requirements. It is in the student’s best interest to follow the official degree plan and to contact a student service advisor with any questions or concerns related to course selection.
