  • Three letters of recommendation (PDF): one each from a spiritual, academic, and work-related reference if possible.
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae.
  • Admission interview.

Prerequisites

Candidates should have completed nine credits of undergraduate psychology including General or Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Theories of Personality or Human Development. However, if an applicant has not taken these courses, he or she may obtain a provisional student status by completing a list of required readings with written summary papers to be submitted to the director of the program prior to taking the first course.

Transfer of Courses

Students may transfer up to 18 semester hours of graduate credit from a regionally accredited college or university. The coursework must be comparable to that offered at Colorado Christian University and fulfill CCU's degree requirements for the MAC program.

Licensing

Every student is individually responsible for knowing the requirements of the state in which they hope to become licensed through the American Counseling Association. Colorado Christian University does not guarantee that the Masters of Arts in Counseling degree at CCU which allows a student to become licensed in the state of Colorado will automatically transfer to other states.
