Dr. Barbara White, RN, CNS serves as Dean for Nursing and Sciences at Colorado Christian University. In this role she provides leadership for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the Associate of Science in Nursing Programs. She directs and administers the RN-BSN Program and provides operational leadership for state program approval, national nursing program accreditation, faculty, students, curriculum development, program outcomes evaluation and community clinical partnerships.
Dr. White comes to CCU with over four decades of leadership in nursing education. Prior to coming to the University, Dr. White served as a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Yonsei University College of Nursing in Seoul, Korea. In the past she served as faculty and division chair at Loretto Heights School of Nursing at Regis University and as Administrative Director of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center School of Nursing. Recently she was awarded the honor of serving as Faculty Champion in Genetics and Genomics from NIH. Additionally, Dr. White is currently President of Nurses Christian Fellowship International (NCFI) where she serves with international leaders who are committed to advancing a Christian worldview in nursing. Dr. White led the establishment of an International Leadership Development Program for NCFI and is currently working with international nursing leaders to develop the International Institute of Christian Nursing.
Dr. White teaches nationally and internationally on ethics, moral leadership, spiritual care, community health, collaborative partnerships, and nursing as ministry.
Dr. White earned her Ed. D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois.
