• RN to BSN Admission Requirements

    Admission Application

    The first step in the admission process is to submit your online application for admission to CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS). Submit proof of identity and all official college transcripts for CAGS admission. Once your application is complete and you are admitted to CAGS, submit your documents for the RN to BSN program admission to:

    The application process for admission to CCU's RN to BSN program is competitive. Once enrolled in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, the Student Services Advisor assists the student in the admission and progression process. The applicant must meet specific requirements at each step of the admission process in order to progress and be admitted to the program.

    Completed College of Adult and Graduate Studies applications must be received at least one month prior to the next start date. Class size is limited, so we encourage all applicants to begin the process as soon as possible. To be considered for admission, students must have:

    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
    • Completed an associate degree in nursing or diploma in nursing from an accredited institution
    • Proof of active unencumbered RN licensure (USA)
    • Verification of Work form (PDF)
    • A completed background check through the online tracking system in Certified Background. Use student package code CG84. Fees apply and are the responsibility of the student. The background check must be completed no more than six months prior to the start of nursing courses. Be sure to review the list of disqualifying offenses on the Certified Background website.
    • A completed drug screening also through Certified Background. A Drug Screen Release form (PDF) is required. Use student package code CG84. Fees apply.

    After Acceptance into the CCU Nursing Program

    After acceptance into the nursing program, students must complete the following:

    • Immunization Trackers – CCU Nursing Tracking System: Students must complete the Immunization Tracker at the Certified Background website to start the process for submitting your immunization and other required documents. Enter student package code CG84. All expenses for admissions documentation are the responsibility of the student. Annual fees apply as annual updates are required. The following documents are processed through Certified Background's Student Immunization Tracking System:
      • Student Authorization and Release form (PDF)
      • Copies of Immunization documents
      • A copy of your current CPR card (American Heart Association’s Healthcare Provider with AED)
      • A copy of your Health Insurance card
      • A copy of your current unencumbered RN License (USA)
      • Student Health form (PDF)
