Students can take both online and "in-seat" classes at the same time, or interchange them throughout their time at CCU.

Online classes are designed for people who prefer the Web learning environment. The formatting for the course is different, but both types of classes cover the same material.

How do I know if online learning is for me?

Online courses run in a block system every semester with specific start and end dates. See the CCU course schedule to find out the schedule for a specific class.

How long does an online course run?
Online courses may run from 5 to 10 weeks long, depending on the program. Contact your Enrollment Counselor for specific information on your classes.

No, but you will have specific deadlines during each week of the course.

How is an online course set up?
The online class is run primarily through a Web-based format called e-Companion. The virtual classroom format allows you to interact with your instructor and other students, and gives you the tools you need to find and submit required assignments.

How much does an online course cost?
Tuition for an online course is the same as that of an in-seat course. However, some additional course fees may apply. Please visit the College of Adult and Graduate Studies Tuition Web site for specific cost information for your program.

Will I be able to contact my instructor with questions?
Yes. Your instructor will have an e-mail address as well as virtual office hours.

What are virtual office hours?
Virtual office hours are a set time when an instructor will be online in your e-Companion chat room to discuss any questions students may have. Some instructors may elect to provide you with a phone number, instant message ID or alternative e-mail in lieu of using the chat feature in your online course.
