The Special Education Generalist Endorsement offered through CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies is designed for licensed K-12 teachers in Colorado who want to add a special education generalist endorsement to their teaching license. Courses provide the necessary content for teachers to develop the competencies required to work in the special education field as an effective generalist. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates apply to the Colorado Department of Education for an added endorsement as a Special Education Generalist.
Taught from a Christian worldview, CCU’s special education endorsement program helps develop educators who are dedicated to addressing diverse learner needs with excellence through servant-leadership in their field and in society. Small class sizes encourage individualized learning and networking, and allow students direct access to professors who are also professionals in the field.
Master's Degree Completion
Students in CCU's Special Education Generalist Endorsement program may apply to the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction (MACI). Upon acceptance, 21 credit hours may be applied toward the MACI with a Special Education emphasis.
