Estonia/Ukraine 2005
Bill Bright once said “There is no higher calling or greater privilege known to man then helping to fulfill the great commission.” To which I would also add, there is no greater joy known to man then helping to fulfill the great commission."
My team and I spent four weeks serving in Estonia and Ukraine. We worked with a local church in Saue, Estonia doing large evangelistic programs geared at unsaved youth, in addition to outreach we spent large amounts of time pouring into the few believers of Estonia supporting and encouraging them in their ministry efforts. Our time in Estonia was the most rewarding, joy filled weeks of ministry I have ever experienced.
In Ukraine we spent a little over two weeks working at the Sunshine Center, a home and rehabilitation center for children who have been taken off the streets. It is a true testament to the healing power of the Lord to see how He has restored the minds and bodies of kids who had spent so much time on the streets, stealing, sniffing glue and scraping for survival. The children at the sunshine center are walking testaments to the fact that we serve a Lord of miracles.
