Electric anticipation fills the air in downtown Denver at the Hyatt Regency as dozens of event staff and volunteers make last minute preparations for the nearly 2500 patriots attending the 2014 Western Conservative Summit just hours from now.
Check-in begins on Friday at 2 p.m., and final scheduling questions can be answered by visiting the official Summit site at: www.ccu.edu/centennial/western-conservative-summit/.
More than 80 radio, television, newspaper, and alternative media outlets will be covering the event, including at least five international venues.
Attendees wanting to engage the global conversation themselves can tweet #WCS14 on Twitter, and aim to break last year’s record when the Summit exceeded tweets by pop stars like Justin Bieber, ultimately reaching the top five in trends around the nation.
Summit guests can also download the WCS 2014 app sponsored by The Weekly Standard to post pictures, comments, and quotes, as well as interact with others at the event to more fully experience all the action offered in these packed three days. Instagram and Facebook, as well as the Centennial Institute’s very own ’76 Blog, will all provide additional resources for citizens to spread their passion for patriotism as they are inspired by an all-star lineup speaking out in sessions and workshops throughout the weekend.
Friday begins with a bang as Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal, and Mike Lee open the night after attendees have had a chance to make rounds through the exhibition hall, opening workshops, and a kickoff dinner.
A youth party and movie night will close out the first day in preparation for an exciting Saturday with Sarah Palin, KT McFarland, Hugh Hewitt, Guy Benson, Ted Cruz, and many, many more all the way through Sunday.
Get ready, because as Summit Chairman John Andrews enthusiastically puts it, “Here’s a weekend that will lift your spirits – and might change your life!”
