Hamas regrouping, reloading with lethal new rockets

(Centennial Fellow) The reprieve from fighting over Hamas tunnels in the Gaza may be over for now but the fight will return and it will get worse.

A new video briefing shows that the next generation of rocket technology could reach all of Israel and expose another 70% of Israelis to lethal attack. (http://blogs.cbn.com/stakelbeckonterror/archive/2014/08/06/the-watchman-show-mapping-hamass-lethal-new-rockets.aspx)

Radical Islam has been killing Jews for almost 1,400 years. Mohammed was involved in the death by decapitation of 300-600 Qurayza Jews (men and pubescent boys) and enslavement for their women and children in 627 A.D.

[1] Alan Shlemon, author of the Ambassador’s Guide to Islam, estimates that 15% of Muslims support radical Islam. Radical Muslims believe that the Quran, Hadith, and Sunna clearly teach Jihad. The Bukhari Hadith repeatedly speaks of jihad. In Bukhari, 97% of the jihad references are about war and 3% are about the inner struggle.[2] At approximately 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, this equates to approximately 225 million radical Muslims worldwide. If concentrated in one country, this would make it the fifth largest country in the world behind China, India, the US, and Indonesia. The issue of radical Islam will not be negotiated away by conceding land or through diplomatic dexterity.

Islam has a long history of killing and conquest. Very few people know that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston terrorist bombers, was named after Tamerlane, a Muslim military leader, who killed approximately 17 million people in the 14th century.[3] At that time, the killing represented about 5% of the world’s population, equivalent to approximately 350 million people in today’s terms. The radical Muslim devotion to killing is also expressed in the Hamas charter, which calls for the complete destruction of Israel.[4] Anyone who thinks that radical Islam is newly focused on the Jews or that peace can come through negotiation of land rights neither understands the history behind radical Islam nor the documents of authority that drive their behavior. Muslim leader Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, collaborated with Nazi Germany to exterminate Jews long BEFORE Israel was established on May 14, 1948.[5]

Mohammed used a tactic called hudna, or truce, when he was not in a position of victory. This tactic is often called “compromise until conquest.” Hudna has been used repeatedly since Mohammed with Yasser Arafat being a recent proponent of its use. Hamas is no different. The tactic is to gain a ceasefire while they are able to rebuild an offensive capability that leads them to accomplish their objectives, specifically, the destruction of the Jewish state. The mere presence of the Jewish state antagonizes radical Muslims, serving as a constant reminder that the Caliphate is gone, the Islamic empire is through, and that the west has emerged victorious.

The aforementioned video explains why Israel can not rest with the destruction of the Gaza tunnels. The existing Katyusha rockets will be replaced by Khyber rockets that have 10 times the explosive capability and can reach all of Israel, including the Tel Aviv region where 70% of the Israeli population live and where 80% of their industrial centers are. In addition, a new technology called “fuel-air bombs” could be used in the next battle. Fuel-air bombs are often called “the poor man’s nuclear weapon” for their destructive capability. These bombs release explosive gases moments before impact where a second charge explodes them before impact to achieve maximum lethal impact.

1,400 years of history teaches us that radical Islam sees the infidels (non-Muslims) as representing Dar-Al-Harb (territory of war) which obstructs the end objective of Dar-Al-Islam (territory of peace). Weapons technology teaches us that improved weapon yield and distance continues to increase. Astute observation teaches us that our nation’s leaders either do not understand radical Islam or dismiss it as a non-existential threat to mankind. These three phenomenon together assure that danger is on the rise in the world, specifically for freedom loving people in the United States and Israel. There is a great book “The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy” by Erick Stakelbeck that is a must-read for those concerned about the threat of radical Islam.

Negligence always precedes disaster. Please share this video (http://blogs.cbn.com/stakelbeckonterror/archive/2014/08/06/the-watchman-show-mapping-hamass-lethal-new-rockets.aspx) with as many people as you can. Indifference and incompetence are no defense against evil. Education and engagement are essential to saving lives and preserving freedom.
