Conservative Gubernatorial Candidates Flock to Summit

As the 2018 Colorado governor’s race begins to heat up, many Republican candidates are making appearances at the Western Conservative Summit. An open seat election with no one candidate clearly at the head of the pack, this primary will most likely shatter state spending records. At the Summit, voters will get the chance to hear from many in this broad range of conservative voices before deciding upon any one candidate.

Governor’s race candidates include: Steve Barlock, co-chair of Trump’s presidential campaign; George Brauchler, district attorney for 18th Judicial District; Lew Gaiter, Larimer County commissioner; Greg Lopez, former mayor of Parker; Victor Mitchell, entrepreneur and former state legislator; and Doug Robinson, former investment banker and nephew of Mitt Romney.

Other prominent Colorado Republicans are considering joining the race such as attorney general Cynthia Coffman, two-term treasurer Walker Stapleton, and Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers.

Here at the Western Conservative Summit, Victor Mitchell, George Brauchler, and Doug Robinson all have exhibitor booths. As conservatives, it is so important to get to know our candidates and their political values. Conservative gubernatorial candidates have already taken to the stage and will continue to speak throughout the Summit to share their views.

The Western Conservative Summit is hosting a governor’s race straw poll, so if you’re here with us this weekend, please remember to vote. And stay tuned for the results.
