    Commencement 2014: Senior Banquet

    Friday, May 9, 2014
    5:30-9:00 p.m.
Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows

All graduating seniors and their guests in the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS) are invited to attend the 2014 Senior Banquet at the Denver Marriott South in Littleton, Colorado. This will be a special time to remember the past and celebrate the future with classmates, faculty, and staff.

Note: A separate function is planned for students in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Information is available for students on the CAGS Graduation Receptions web page. (Log-in required)

    Registration Information

Please note, you will be asked to provide the name of the CCU graduate. Even if you are not registering the graduate at this time, please indicate his/her name so that we can match up all family and friends who are affiliated with that graduate.

Registrants will receive two confirmations. The first is an automated confirmation with your eTickets and the second will be a confirmation sent from the Student Life Office with specific details about the event. If you do not receive this second confirmation (please allow a one week turnaround time), please contact CCUSeniorBanquet@ccu.edu to let us know about the error.

Please e-mail CCUSeniorBanquet@ccu.edu with any questions.

    Seating at the Banquet

Seating is assigned to accommodate all our guests and their families. All families/guests of the graduating student will be seated together. If you register at separate times, please make sure you indicate who the graduating student is in your party so we can match up groups. In addition, if you would like sit near or with another graduate (for example a fiancé, a good friend, etc); and his/her family, please indicate that on the registration form (you will be prompted on the form). We do our best to accommodate all guests so you can enjoy the evening with friends and family.

    Hotel Information

If you wish to stay at the Denver Marriott South for CCU's 2014 Senior Banquet or Commencement ceremony, please contact the hotel directly at 800-228-9290 or 303-925-0004 for reservations, and mention that you are with Colorado Christian University. The Denver Marriott South will hold a block of rooms for CCU guests until April 10, 2014 at a special room rate. For additional hotel options, please visit our Local Hotels Web page.

    Apple Awards

A highlight of the evening is the Apple Award presentations. Apple Awards are given by seniors to selected faculty and staff members who have made an impact on their lives at CCU. Apple Awards must be submitted by April 18, 2014. Students wishing to submit Apple Award nominations may do so using the Online Apple Award Nomination Form. All faculty/staff who receive an apple award nomination will receive an invitation to attend the Senior Banquet and will receive an Apple Award from the nomination student at the Senior Banquet. Only students who attend the Senior Banquet may give an Apple Award.

    Graduate Slide Show

During the banquet, CCU presents a special slide show of the graduating class, and we are currently collecting pictures of graduating seniors. Parents and graduates may submit up to four pictures of each graduate. Before submitting pictures, please save the picture file as StudentFirstName + StudentLastName + NumberofPicture (i.e.: JohnDoe1, or JaneDoe4). Pictures must be received in digital format by April 18, 2014 to allow sufficient time for slideshow preparation. Please e-mail CCUSeniorBanquet@ccu.edu with pictures, and please assure that images are 1 MB or less in size.

    • How long does it take to get to the banquet site?  Denver South Marriott at Park Meadows. It takes 30 minutes (from CCU's Main Campus) in good traffic. The banquet is held at the height of rush hour traffic so please plan accordingly. We recommend allowing an extra 30 minutes of travel time.
    • Can we bring guests to the banquet? Yes, please bring as many as you like. The ticket cost for the graduating senior is free, compliments of the CCU Associated Students (Student Government). The cost for all other adult guests is $30.00.
    • What should I wear? In the past, guests have worn a variety of types of attire. Our recommendation is semi-formal or dressy casual.
