Jim Daly
Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus on the Family, will be addressing the graduating class of 2009 at Commencement. Founded in 1977 by Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family is a non-profit organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado whose mission is to “share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible by nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide.” Focus produces a variety of magazines, video, and audio recordings, and a daily radio broadcast providing listeners free resources and family counseling by Dobson himself and his colleagues that reaches 220 million people daily on over 7,000 stations in 160 countries.
Jim Daly first joined the Focus on the Family staff in March of 1989 as Assistant to the President in the ministry’s Public Affairs Division. Throughout his years of dedication and service to Focus, Jim has also held the positions of International Field Director for Asia, Africa, and Australia, Vice President of the International Division, Vice President of Marketing, and Chief Operating Officer.
