    Full-time faculty and staff at Colorado Christian University have a wide variety of employee benefits to assist them and their families during their employment. Some of these benefits include medical, vision, dental and life insurance; a retirement savings plan; and a tuition waiver program.

    Full-time employees are those who are regularly assigned to work 32 hours or more per week. Employees are eligible for coverage on their date of hire. During the first week of employment, new hires meet with a Human Resources representative for a benefits orientation. The following list highlights CCU's current benefit offerings.

    Insurance Benefits

    Medical Insurance
    CNIC is a Colorado-based Third Party Administrator (TPA) in operation since 1987. A TPA is an administrative firm hired by the employer to administer their benefit program as outlined in their plan document. As the TPA division of Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), a not-for-profit health benefits provider, CNIC is committed to providing cost effective, customized benefit plan solutions to our clients. The CNIC model combines the low unit cost and flexibility of a TPA with the proprietary Care Management and Disease Management. CNIC is a market leader and has met or exceeded meaningful performance standards that continue to set the pace within the industry.
    Dental Insurance
    Delta Dental, America’s largest dental benefits carrier, has been providing high quality, comprehensive dental benefits in the state of Colorado and nationwide since 1958. CCU is pleased to offer the Delta Dental PPO plan to our employees with no monthly premiums.
    Vision Insurance
    VSP Vision Care, the nation's largest provider of eyecare coverage, has been providing comprehensive, cost-effective eyecare benefits for more than fifty years. VSP network doctors offer several convenient locations near business, residential areas, and shopping centers. CCU employees benefit from annual exams and discounted corrective eyewear with no monthly premiums.
    Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment
    All full-time staff and faculty are offered life insurance as well as accidental death and dismemberment coverage at no cost to the employee. Employees may also elect additional voluntary life insurance through Unum.

    Retirement Benefit

    403b Retirement Program
    Colorado Christian University encourages employees to participate in the 403b program provided by TIAA-CREF, a national financial services organization and the leading provider of retirement services in the academic field. A retirement plan is an important financial asset, and TIAA-CREF partners with CCU and our employees in planning for their retirement. Tax-deferred deductions of up to five percent are matched by CCU for this retirement 403b Plan. A Roth option is available to employees. Employees are also provided with a financial expert who is available to offer individualized advice about formulating a retirement strategy.

    Tuition Waiver Benefit

    Tuition Waiver
    Full-time staff and faculty with one year of service are eligible for a 100 percent tuition waiver in undergraduate and graduate programs at CCU. Tuition will also be waived for their spouse and dependents enrolling in undergraduate-level programs at CCU. The Tuition Waiver benefit excludes all nursing programs.

    Other CCU Benefits

    Paid Time Off
    CCU offers a generous paid time off package including more than 10 holidays each year, vacation time, sick leave, and personal days.
    Fitness Club Membership
    Employees can take advantage of the opportunity to get healthy and stay healthy by joining a 24 Hour Fitness Health Club through CCU. Full-time CCU employees receive a generous discount on monthly fees.
    Flexible Spending Account
    FlexSystem offers employees the opportunity to pay for certain qualified benefits (both medical and dependent care expenses) on a pre-tax basis. Paying for certain benefits with pre-tax dollars reduces the amount paid in taxes and increases take-home pay. Every dollar paid on a pre-tax basis results in savings to the employee.
    Disability Plans
    CCU pays the cost of employees' participation in our short-term and long-term disability plans, which provide partial salary replacement in the event of a disability.
    CCU Bookstore
    CCU employees receive a 10% discount on all purchases of store merchandise, excluding textbooks, sale merchandise, and academically discounted software.
    CCU Athletics
    CCU employees receive free admission to all home games.
