How have everyday lives changed through simply an encounter with Christ the Man? This Easter, experience I, Witness, a dramatic story presented by Colorado Christian University's School of Music and directed by Sanne McCarthy.
A new play written by C. McNair Wilson, I, Witness is an intense portrayal of the life of Jesus Christ as seen and experienced by the disciple Matthew. Based on the novel The Jesus Chronicles: Matthew's Story by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, I, Witness explores the depth of Jesus Christ's impact on the lives of His disciples, providing a never-before-seen opportunity to experience the intimate weight of the Gospel story.

Author of more than 175 books with sales of more than 70 million copies, including the best-selling Left Behind series, Jerry B. Jenkins is former vice president for publishing and currently chairman of the board of trustees for the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. Jerry's writing has appeared in Time, Reader's Digest, Parade, Guideposts, and dozens of Christian periodicals. Twenty of his books have reached The New York Times best-seller list (seven debuting number one). Jerry released Matthew's Story in February 2010 from Putnam Praise and The Last Operative in July 2010 from Tyndale House.
Sanne McCarthy
Director: I, Witness
Associate Professor of Theatre, CCU School of Music & Theatre, Sanne McCarthy is resident director of CCU stage productions with more than 15 years teaching at the university level. She has staged musicals, Shakespeare, and a wide variety plays in the CCU Music Center. A master story teller, Sanne is also an accomplished playwright. As a professional actor and singer, she has performed on stages in the U.S and Europe throughout her career. She is also widely published in both arts and business journals. Regarding her faith and teaching, Sanne says, "I consider the integration of faith and learning to be a holy task." Her infectious passion for faith and art is caught as well a taught. Sanne worked closely with playwright, McNair Wilson, to refine the I,Witness script for its World Premiere at CCU.

One of the leading voices for creativity in corporate and personal life, McNair’s engaging keynotes and practical workshops in creative thinking are widely regarded as the best available. His clients includes Apple Computer, Salvation Army, and the U.S. Government Management Training Center. McNair's professional experience includes: theme park design (as a Disney Imagineer), theatrical director, playwright, graphic design, and communications coach to speakers and ministry professionals. Prior to I,Witness, McNair had written three musicals and other plays, including an adaption of Dicken’s A Christmas Carol which has been performed at theatres across the US.
