  • ProQuest - (full-text articles of  2,700+ journals in all subject areas, including 300+ psychology and 90 religion journals. It is an excellent source of SCHOLARLY  journals. It also offers indexing and includes the RELIGION and PSYCHOLOGY databases.) ProQuest Quick Guides


  • EBSCO Academic Search and EBSCO Business Source Premier - (EBSCO Academic Search offers 4,450 full-text journals in social sciences, humanities, education, science, and religion. EBSCO Business Source has 2,300 full-text management and business journals, and wires and regional business news. Choose EBSCOhost Web to begin. Both are an excellent source for SCHOLARLY journals. Click on EBSCO Business Source, for example, and continue.

For an item that CCU does not own, Interlibrary Borrowing is an option. Use the borrowing form at the Circulation Desk or online and give it to the Interlibrary Loan Librarian, Tracey Lane (tlane@ccu.edu).

DISSERTATION DATABASES:

  • Proquest Digital Dissertations – (index to current two years of citations and abstracts in the Dissertation Abstracts database. At the entry page, click on the “Enter” button to begin a search. For guest searching of titles in Dissertation Abstracts, at the entry page choose “Connect to Dissertation Express,” select a method of payment (even if you do not plan to purchase anything), and conduct a search. Once a dissertation is identified, an individual may request that the CCU Library submit an Interlibrary Loan borrowing request to a local or nearby library. Users also have the option to purchase individually through UMI.)
