Current students, faculty, and staff in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies should consult the Library Web and contact the Adult and Distance Librarian as needed.
The Library Web offers: Services, Ask a Librarian E-mail Reference, Ask Academic, Reference Websites and e-Books, Full-text Journal Databases, Citation and Writing Guides, Subject Guides, a Library, Information, & Research Tutorial, and Research Quick Guides. For additional resources see Other Libraries. It outlines how to borrow from libraries other than CCU. Be sure to check the Online Catalog, including Prospector, first for CCU's book and other holdings and the Full-Text Databases for CCU's journals.
CCU Library databases are licensed for use only by currently registered CCU students, faculty and staff. Use your CCU login and personal password for all databases. If a syllabus indicates online library or EBSCO, you will need to know the specific database name, such as "Business Source Premier" or "ATLAReligion," for example.
Many help guides on the Library Web are available. They outline holding and renewing books and seeing your activity via your Library account at the top of the Library Catalog. Remember you can arrow down to directly request books from Prospector (40+ libraries) for delivery to CCU.
Registered students and faculty may call OUR QUICK INFO LINE at 303-963-3250 for info, reference, and ILL borrowing. CCU also offers a TOLL-FREE 1-877-777-6132 # especially for ADULT STUDENTS AND PERSONNEL.
It connects with Tracey Lane, Adult and Distance Librarian, who handles reference, instruction, and loans. Tracey works Tuesdays through Saturdays. When he is not available, leave a message for him to email you back or you can be transferred to the quick info line. There is also Librarian E-mail Reference and chat.
A Network Account is essential for printing on campus and accessing many resources. If you have questions on how to set up your general CCU Network Account or if you need assistance with a nonworking password, your Center, CCU Information Systems & Technology at 303-963-3444 (7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m,) or techsupport@ccu.edu can assist you. Also, there is a Helpful Information for Students on these questions, requirements, and how to configure wireless devices on the Information Systems & Technology Web Page.
Sometimes CAGS students are looking on the Lakewood campus for enrollment counselors and student advisors. The CAGS Lakewood Center just off the main campus at 200 S. Garland Street, telephone 303-963-3030, houses 2 CAGS counselors and one advisor. Financial aid is at the Service Center on the Lakewood campus.
