Meet the LDC Team

The Life Directions Center staff is dedicated to assisting students throughout their entire educational experience at CCU.

Jennifer Toth Jennifer Toth
Director

Jennifer managed Career Services and Service Learning at CCU before helping launch the University's Life Directions Center in 2006. As director, she brings a wealth of experience in helping people find their niche in vocation as well as in the body of Christ. Jennifer has a Master of Science in Career and Human Resource Development from Rochester Institute of Technology.

ReeAnn Hyde ReeAnn Hyde
Office Manager

ReeAnn has extensive ministry experience and spent five years organizing administrative support at the Point Loma Nazarene University Counseling Center. She has her Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Class of 2011 Advisors

Stephen W. Abbott Stephen W. Abbott

Though new to the LDC this year, Stephen has five years of experience working with college students in the residence life setting. In addition to assisting his class of 2011 cohort, he is the LDC link for the School of Theology. He is also the department coordinator of tutoring services. He received his master's degree in higher education from Geneva College.

Missy Davis Missy Davis

Missy is a native Coloradan and has spent the last two years working with college students. She will be working with the incoming class of 2011 as well as with international student needs and service learning. Missy is the LDC link for the School of Education. She received her Master of Science in Education from Baylor University.

Class of 2010 Advisors

Jason Makowsky Jason Makowsky

Jason has nine years of experience working in higher education. In addition to his cohort of 2010 students, Jason is the LDC link for history, global studies, and the social science majors in the School of Humanities and Sciences. He is also the department expert for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodations, as well as for international and third culture students. Jason earned his master's degree in college student affairs from Asuza Pacific University.

Libby Jones Libby Jones

Libby is a CCU graduate and previously served as an enrollment counselor for the CCU Admissions Office. In addition to her cohort of 2010 students, Libby is the LDC link for the following majors within the School of Humanities and Sciences: communication, liberal arts, literature, and language. Libby is also the department expert on the undeclared major program and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodations.

Class of 2009 Advisor

Matt Jones Matt Jones

Matt has great experience with both college and high school students. In addition to his cohort of 2007 students, Matt is the link for the following majors within the School of Humanities and Sciences: biology, science, mathematics and psychology. Matt is also the department expert for the Study Abroad and Americorp programs. Matt has his master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Shauna Stone Shauna Stone

Shauna has 11 years of experience working with youth as a staff member of Athletes in Action, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. In addition to her cohort of 2009 students, Shauna is the link for the School of Music. Shauna is also the department expert for conditionally admitted students, students on probation, and graduate school information.

Joy Strickland Joy Strickland

Joy brings nine years of higher education experience, including four years at CCU as the director of Student Activities. In addition to her cohort of 2008 students, Joy is the link to the School of Education and the department expert on special events. Joy is also the assistant director of the Life Directions Center. She has a Master of Science in Education from Alfred University.

Eric Teetsel Eric Teetsel

Eric joins the LDC team as an advisor for the class of 2008. He has lived all over the world and is currently pursuing his master's degree in college student  affairs from Azusa Pacific University, where he previously served as a resident director before coming to CCU. He is the departmental link for the School of Business and Leadership and oversees the Job Connection job posting Web site, internships, and employer relations.
