Ensemble participation is an important part of the music program at Colorado Christian University. Credits from ensemble participation can go toward a major or minor in music or can be elective credit for any major in the College of Undergraduate Studies at CCU. Ensembles emphasize excellence in developing music skills as part of an overall commitment to academic excellence. The CCU music ensembles integrate music and performance with the Christian faith by developing thoughtful Christian perspectives and a committed stewardship of artistic gifts and opportunities. In addition, students gain the opportunity to grow as a community and fellowship with Christian musicians.
Believing that all creative and artistic expression is an echo of the Creator, music ensembles are an opportunity for students to grow in stewardship of their God-given gifts and musical talents. The School of Music stresses musical excellence and well-prepared performances.
