- Have a CCU admission application in progress. Music scholarships cannot be offered to anyone who does not have an application on file with the Admissions Office.
Music Scholarship Awards
- Following the audition, each coordinator makes recommendations to the music faculty for their consideration. These recommendations are forwarded to the Service Central office for final approval. The School of Music notifies recipients in writing after April 15. The funds apply to the academic year immediately following the application.
- The amount of the scholarship depends on the number of accepted applicants in the music program and the amount of scholarship money available.
- All scholarship awards are disbursed on a semester by semester basis. Students are required to participate in an appropriate large ensemble (CCU choir, wind ensemble, chamber orchestra) and any small ensemble for which they are selected each semester that they receive a scholarship.
- Students are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA in order to retain their scholarships.
Scholarship Renewal
Students must submit a yearly music scholarship renewal application before March 1, which is available from the School of Music.
