CCU Three-peats as NCAA's 2009-10 RMAC Sportsmanship Cup Winner
Last Saturday, at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's annual Hall of Fame and Awards Ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colorado Christian University (Lakewood, Colo.) was awarded the 2009-10 RMAC Sportsmanship Cup. This was CCU's third-consecutive win in the Cup's four-year history, with the inaugural award going to the University of Nebraska-Kearney. The RMAC is an NCAA Division-II conference consisting of 14 schools around Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
Sportsmanship Cup winners are determined by an online voting process that ranks four game-environment categories: players, coaches, athletics staff, and fans. Among the RMAC member schools, one head coach from each sport votes along with a Student Athletic Advisory Committee member on all 21 RMAC-sponsored sports. In each category, schools receive one ranking ranging from poor to excellent.
CCU received an average overall score of 4.239, followed by Nebraska-Kearney, Colorado School of Mines, Chadron State College, and Regis University.

"Embracing the values held by the University, our department continues to strive for excellence in all areas as we develop student-athletes to become men and women of character and integrity, who honor God in all they do."
