One of the Fastest-Growing Institutions Ranking

The Chronicle of Higher Education has ranked Colorado Christian University as the seventh fastest-growing private nonprofit master's institution in the nation; these results were published in The Almanac of Higher Education 2017-2018.

The Chronicle's rankings included only U.S. degree-granting institutions with at least 500 students in 2005.

"We are continually amazed by God's provision and direction for CCU," said Dan Cohrs, vice president of Business Affairs and CFO at the University. "We hold extremely high standards for our students, faculty, and staff, and that makes us a magnet for outstanding students around the world."

The ranking is based on The Chronicle's analysis of U.S. Department of Education data that reported fall enrollment for both full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students in both 2005 and 2015. According to these records, CCU's enrollment included 6,879 students in 2015 — a 224.2% increase from 2005 student enrollment.

CCU is no stranger to rapid growth, as its College of Adult and Graduate Studies and College of Undergraduate Studies have both been recognized for eight-straight years of record-breaking enrollment. This dramatic growth has necessitated the University's campus redevelopment project which has resulted in the construction of a new academic building; a new residence hall; and the Anschutz Student Center, which was dedicated on August 24 of this year.

"We aren't just teaching skills," said Cohrs, "we are preparing our students for a life of impact — to be world changers."

The Chronicle of Higher Education is considered "the No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators" and is published on a weekly basis. The Almanac of Higher Education is published annually, alongside two other publications printed by The Chronicle.
