The 12th annual Values-Aligned Leadership Summit, hosted by Colorado Christian University, will explore The Future of the American Dream: Crisis or Confidence? The Honorable Allen B. West, former U.S. congressman, will headline the summit, while discussion of what can be done to restore the American Dream will embolden VALS participants.
The annual event, held at the Hyatt Regency in the Denver Tech Center, will host more than 700 CCU students and local business leaders on April 24, 2014. Conference attendees will take a deep look at the policies inhibiting the American Dream, and inspire action steps to encourage thriving American businesses. For business leaders, it’s a rare chance to reflect on the values necessary to keep their enterprises healthy and growing. For students, VALS offers a chance to network with successful businesspersons in the Denver area.
For both, the Values-Aligned Leadership Summit encourages theoretical knowledge and practical application, while calling all businesses in America to become intentional about ethical decision-making.
Allen West, who served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years before representing Florida’s 22nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives, has long fought to empower small businesses, reduce government barriers to job creation, and encourage entrepreneurship and growth. His vision fits the VALS mission.
West will be joined by author and consultant Robert E. Hall, who coaches CEOs on issues of strategic direction, leadership, and relationships. CCU’s own Ron Rex, Gary Ewen, Joanna Bostwick, Paul Eldridge, and Kevin Miller will also contribute.
The Values-Aligned Leadership Summit will be held on Thursday, April 24. For more information or to sign up for the event, please visit www.ccu.edu/vals.
