Instructor of Biology and Lab Coordinator
School of Humanities and Sciences
- M.S. Biological Studies with Emphasis in Molecular and Cellular Biology (University of Northern Colorado)
- B.S. Mathematics (Regis University)
Despite my undergraduate degree in mathematics, my true passion has been science
Though my intention at the beginning of graduate school was to pursue a vocation in research, my graduate funding required me to teach undergraduate labs and lectures which ignited my love for teaching. After completing my degree at UNC I decided to pursue teaching over research and was hired as an affiliate faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSUD). I have worked for MSUD for the last 6 years teaching courses ranging from non-majors Human Biology to upper division Advanced Genetics. During that time I was also employed as an affiliate faculty with the Community College of Denver (CCD) and Colorado Christian University (CCU) in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS).
In the fall of 2013 I was hired as an affiliate faculty with the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS) at CCU and in fall 2014 I was hired full time with CUS at CCU to serve as an Instructor/ Lab Coordinator. I am honored to be among you in this role and I look forward with great excitement to the years of teaching and learning that are ahead.
