Dr. Downey began teaching with Colorado Christian University as affiliate faculty and was named as an outstanding faculty member in 2012. She joined the Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) faculty team in 2012, and enjoys teaching many of the core MAC courses. One of her favorite courses to teach is the Professional Orientation class, which helps students prepare for their practicum experience by having a solid ethical foundation in the practice of counseling.
